Designing the identity for BENgineers, an internal organization within Comcast, derived from our Black Employee Network ERG.
BENgineers is dedicated to nurturing collaboration and promoting the sharing of diverse perspectives and skills within our technologist community. Working closely with Group Leader Mumin Ransom, my objective was to create a distinctive visual identity that seamlessly integrates elements of technology and engineering.

What was created?
A brand mark, stacked and inline logo variants, color palette.
This case study showcases a transformative redesign project that played a pivotal role in evolving a small organic organization into a thriving entity of over 150 individuals and continuing growth. My contributions included the development of a versatile brand mark, featuring both stacked and inline variants accompanied by text. This strategic approach ensures adaptability across diverse media platforms while maintaining the brand’s distinctive identity. The design concept merges gear-like shapes with electronic elements, resulting in a visually compelling and cohesive brand representation.
Results
A strong brand for a growing organization.
BENgineers has experienced remarkable growth and has become an integral part of numerous conferences hosted by and at Comcast’s campus. Beyond their presence at these events, they have made a tangible impact within both the Comcast tech community and the broader Black community. Through their initiatives, they have facilitated the production of various products, including shirts and crews, fostering a sense of unity and belonging among members. Their contributions extend beyond the realm of technology, serving as a beacon of empowerment and representation for the Black community within Comcast and beyond.
